The start/finish and all racer camping is in Two Moon Campground. Click the maps to see details. The campground has paved roads, water, and bathrooms. There are about 100 sites in the campground. It will not be very practical to stay anywhere else for the race.
Camp Rules (some of these are exceptions made for this race):
- Everyone must be in a designated camp site.
- All vehicles must be in the campsite and parked on the gravel. No parking on pavement or on dirt/grass. If your team has more vehicles than will fit in your site, there are a couple of overflow gravel parking areas available. Vehicles in the overflow area must still pay the camping fees.
- No more than one team is allowed in each site.
- Up to 10 people are allowed in each site, so your team can all camp together.
- The park is allowing us to put more tents in each site than the standard rule of one. Please don't abuse this, and keep your tents close together.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. We understand you will be racing all night, but please do your best to keep noise to a minimum. No generators. We will have all the battery charging you need at the start/finish line. Let's make sure non racing campers have a good weekend as well.
- Checkout time on Sunday has been extended to 3pm.
- Glass containers/bottles are not allowed in state parks in Wyoming.
- Pets must be on a leash.
- Other standard Wyoming State Parks camping rules apply.
State Park Camping Fees:
- Wyoming Resident - $10/night/vehicle
- Non-resident - $17/night/vehicle
- Camping includes daily use fees.
Reservations:
There are 35 reservable sites in the campground. Solo racers in particular are encouraged to make a reservation for one of the sites close to the trail. You can make reservations beginning 120 days prior to arrival. Reserve online or call (877) 996-7275.
Please note that State Parks require that you display your reservation receipt when camping in a reservable site. Be sure to bring it with you to the race.
The campground is usually only very lightly used that time of year, so there should be plenty of sites available for first-come-first-served given our race limit.
Nearby supplies and other accommodations:
The town of Glendo has gas, limited groceries, and a few small restaurants. Halls Marina, about 3/4 of a mile from the race, has a small cafe, ice and snacks. Probably best to show up prepared though; this is rural Wyoming. There are hotels and other accommodations 32 miles north on I-25 in Douglas or 37 miles south on I-25 in Wheatland.
